I crawled over to the nearest tree and grabbed it branch at the bottom. I turned around and saw my blood trail. Screw it. Little by little, I stood up using the branch to help me. He's gone so I better not mess up my one chance of escaping. I took one step at a time to the opposite direction Lava was headed. He is pure evil. Panting and wincing, I walked away. My legs burned so bad. The venom was working because I could no longer walk. I fell down on my knees. My hands clamped onto the grass, ripping it out in anger. I screamed out loud. My violent sobs shook my body as I tried to calm my self down. Trying... but not succeeding. I give up. Tears streamed down my face and neck. My face was completely wet because of my tears but I didn't care. I don't give a damn. Knowing you're a quitter is the worst feeling ever. Especially in my situation. The venom attacked my arms next. They dropped down to my sides and I had no use of them. I laid down flat on my back. The ground shook gently as I thought about the talking tree. Then I remembered, the world is full of life. The dirt and soil topped with grass had its own heart beat. The voice of the talking tree from earlier: You saved me, and now it's my turn to save you. Selena: It's no use. Just leave me here to rot. I'm begging you. My heart was beating so slowly. A few more seconds left of life. Tree: It's not to late... It's never too late. A tear slid down my rosy cheeks and onto the ground. I closed my eyes tightly when it was harder for me to breathe. The noise of the quiet wind was the last sound I heard before I blacked out. It was too late. -- Marathon time! Part 1/3 GASP! Selena's dead? XD This series is going to end soon! UNLESS people vote on a season 3 lol :) I still wish I can get more comments because I work so hard on these :(
